The max power on this is 500ma. My drive needs almost 800 and is only 100gig. The instructions are almost in english. This case fits tight. No room for the insulator my drive recomends on the PCB side of the drive. Another lesson in you get what you pay for.

When my stepdaughter fried my laptop, I pulled the hard drive and put it in this case. It works perfectly, just keep in mind you need two USB outlets in order to use.

As the title states good for the price. it comes with a duel ended usb-a male to male. as far as i can tell it does not work on a hub as it does not work on mine. but all i have to do is plug a single plug of the dual end plug, the one with the data pins directly into the computers main usb and it works fine. no issues yet.

I saw how cheap this was and the reviews weren’t terrible so I decided to take a chance and get it. It never worked. The enclosure is flimsy, but they did provide you with a tool which was unusual. I decided to order a more expensive model and got an Acomdata which works perfectly. You get what you pay for.

I used this enclosure to turn a hard drive into an external drive after upgrading the storage space in my Mac Mini. Even though the instructions are not that clear, the installation is extremely easy to perform. The kit includes two very small screws (watch out, don’t lose them!) and a tiny screwdriver. It’s easier if you can use your own precision screwdrivers, as the head of this one is annoyingly big. One caveat: the USB interface to this drive is a three-pronged cable, one goes to the external unit and the other two go to the computer. If you are using a computer that has only one USB port you might run into trouble. The design is functional but slightly ugly due to the inscription on the side of the unit, hence the four stars.
