With its two ‘cigarette lighter’ ports and two USB ports, this product is wonderfully convenient for use in cars that have only one power source, like mine. It seems sturdy, and I love the functionality.
I had planned, however, to use it to plug in my FM transmitter in order to play my MP3 player, which is charged via USB, through my car stereo, so that the MP3 player wouldn’t have to be charged separately. When I plug in the FM transmitter and use it with the MP3 player without connecting the MP3 player to the USB port, the sound is great. However, when I plug the MP3 player into the USB port and play music, there is a definite power hum coming through the car stereo speakers.
The device is still useful to me, to be able to use the FM transmitter while simultaneously charging my phone or PDA, but just FYI in case you were planning to use it the same way I was.

Item received promptly in appropriate packaging. Works great – just as advertised – too bad that my Motorola Q phone won’t allow it to be a charger – not the fault of the charger – just Verizon and Motorola locking out “unauthorized” chargers.
Anyway – great price – good item.

I had it on my snowmobile for 20 minutes before it stopped working. I have to admit that it was only -10 degrees outside.

Use this for my iPhone and a Jabra recharging plug. Keep the cords coiled up in the glove box till I’m in the car. Charges both without issue. Has 2 little red lights to show the charge is on. Priced right. I thought it might too cheap to work but it is no different from the $39.00 Cigarette Adapter Plug I bought at the Big Store.

I was concerned about purchasing this product, mainly because I wasn’t sure it would work for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. It charges both my Blackberry and my iPhone 3G. What else could I want?
