Needed a USB hub without putting stress on my laptop’s PSU. This one seemed to fit the bill, the glossy black finish also matches with the PS3 (thought about getting the 40GB eventually). But I have to agree that the power chord is way too short, perhaps adding another 6 feet would be even better.

Arrived quickly and works great. I’ve got several things plugged into it and they all work wonderfully with my pc.

Well i was going to use it to support a midi sound device but some the guy decided to rip me off and take 520.00 $$ from me…. i have my mouse and my keyboard hooked up to it and seems to be quick and responsive also had my ic recorder and worked fine.

First of the power cable for this device fits loosely and is easy to unplug itself. Which might not have been an issue if the cord was longer then 2 feet. Also the power cable that came with mine makes a very annoying high pitched noise depending on what devices are plugged in to it. The light weight portable design is a hindrance for a desktop scenario as it is prone to sliding off tables if you use any of the back usb plugs. It is given that I should have considered some of this in the purchasing process… However, sometimes these things don’t occur to you till you have the device in your hands. I’d only recommend buying this if you don’t need to power usb devices in say a traveling laptop scenario.
