Loaded this product only to be given a message that the Show Me function would not load. Then when the disk arrived tried loading it again but said the program was already loaded and must be uninstalled. So did that. Then tried to reload. Was then told the product was already installed. Total dead end. No product support without paying.
Rip off product.

The old one (5) had wav files which were about as easy as pie. The midi’s are a pain in the neck because you have to pick an instrument…otherwise you get a drum beat that sounds like someone pounding on a piano.

Don’t buy this! The quality of sound you will get on your recordings is quite poor. I used to use a free dowloaded program called Audacity that worked so well. I got this ACID program on my knew computer. I am so unhappy with this product. It’s okay for listening to myself from a practice standpoint, but the sound is muffled a little. I’m a classical guitarist. This is awful for my purposes of making CD’s for people as gifts. And yes, I know all about settings, advanced settings, sound supression, etc. It’s the program. Not me.

Ive had probs with this ever since I got it. For one the instructions are terrable they dont tell you how to do some things thet you have to trouble shoot in order to figure out how to use your midi or any instument
for that matter. Ive spent sleepless nights trying to figure out the program, and the booklet I got with it looked like some xerox copy made by some teenager, and didnt even have that many pages. now I dont have internet service, you wouldnt think you needed it to record right, wrong the program gave me 14 days to register and then it wouldnt allow me to use the program so all the songs I was working on I cant work on now until I get a cd and go to a computer with internet service download the information then drag it back to my computer so I can create again. But dont forget to get some paper and right down all the serial numbers and machine id numbers and activation codes like I did.its too bad because customer service isnt open on saterday so ive wasted a whole day of not creating any music. And on top of that, when i was recording the program would kick me off from time to time when it wants to mess up so just remember to save every time you make an alteration on your songs. Good thing I got magic musics program just in case i’ll just use that until I can register onling and get my songs back….

Ahhhhh, if I could only figure out even the most simple thing to accomplish with this Sony studio software. I just cannot understand the complex procedures to work with this thing. Then again I am not a rocket scientist and that is what is needed to complete a project with Sony sound studio. The instructions are vague is one problem. I will keep it though. I have been able to have some fun with the sound effects stuff but that’s it!!I would not recommend this product to anyone, even a rocket scientist……perhaps a brain surgeon!!
