I read the reviews, both positive and negative and figured I’d take a chance – how hard could it be? It shouldn’t be hard – it’s clearly a simple process but I couldn’t figure out any way my drive would match up with the PCB board and since there were barely any instructions (and from previous reviews it seems those instructions are misleading anyway)there wasn’t going to be any help figuring this out.
I thought maybe it was my drive that is the problem — and maybe it is, so I put in a request to the company’s technical assistance. I figured I’d wait the required three days for a response and I have, and nothing’s come back. I’d like to be able to use this enclosure because it will be a hassle to send back and get something else — especially because no packing slip came with the product. Oh, and while I am at it, no firewire cable either.

I purchased this after reading all the other great reviews. I placed my Playstation 3 60 GB hard drive into this enclosure and my computer did not recognize it at all. I thought that was strange so I took my laptop’s hard drive out and placed it in this enclosure and again the computer I attached it to did not recognize the drive. I also tried to attach it to a computer at work and got the same results.

Nice looking product, nice aluminum construction.
Drive is not recognized on either a Vista or XP machine. Have already played with device manager and updated the driver for my brand new WD 320G Scorpio Hardrive.
I have invested about as much times as I am willing to for a $20 product, and I have to say that this product’s support online and the printed documentation that it comes with are both lousy.
Two stars for pretty $20 paperweight.

I was excited about putting this device to immediate use. Imagine my surprise to discover that there were no screws included. Once I find 4 screws of the right type, I’ll be hooking this baby up.

I found the installation of 3.5 HD very eash with the provided instructions. The enclosure is very nicley built. Very pleases
