This product was ordered on the advice of Verizon against my better judgement. Verizon tech support is the pits. After 40 plus years in IT you’d think I had better sense than to listen to someone who misses the key words in IT. Product was refused and returned.

Actiontec is the provided modem from our ISP and sense we are in a remote location with nowhere to purchase another modem, I try to keep a spare just in case. We run a B&B and provide wireless communucations to our guests anywhere on the 12 acres.

This is the only modem I would recommend & found that Amazon is by far the best place to purchase same.

The only reason I give this modem a 4 out of 5 is because emule’s port forwarding does not detect the forwarded ports as open… Tried poking around but to no avail. (Setup through applications in advanced settings)
Bit torrent works fine; its just a test of time ;p

I have ATT dsl, Lately My Modem has act very wierd, it will disconnect when I need it the most, cause me to be very annoying to have to wait, disconnect, reset, over and over again.
I had This unit for a month now it is very easy to setup. You just got to know your way around cause the CD is useless. the unit I receive is different from display unit, The quick setup little supplement paper give a good instruction.
I still have problem with my laptop sometime it would temporary disconnect from the internet for 30 sec to min, I think it may be my laptop. no problem with the desktop so far.
