Nice sound, FM Radio, Good speaker
I bought this a month ago, I listen to it every day, the sound quality is very good, the size of the speaker is about right, not too big, nor too small.

Not with iPod Touch 2G…
I agree with other reviewers that the connection via Touch 2G is very poor. In fact I tried my Touch on several other Altec Lansing models to no avail.

why you should not buy this
I purchased this item new over a year ago, barely used it, and it is as dead as that squished cat in the middle of the freeway, despite the fact that it was not dropped, exposed…

Please be aware of the following limitations: 1) It does not use over the counter batteries but rather a battery similar to a laptop so you can’t simply insert new ones. This means that do not expect to be using it without an AC adaptor for more then 5 hrs 2) It does not support iPhone use 3) It does not recharge your ipod when running on battery power. So the amt of time you have without AC adapter is either 5 hrs or how long your Ipod will have play on its own batteries.

I listened to all of the portable iPod speakers at BestBuy, and although the Bose system (for $399) sounded marginally better – the Altec Lansing iM600 is amazing considering the price. Great sound for a tiny unit, surprisingly good bass response, nice design, and FM tuner built in. If you can afford to spend $399 go with the Bose, if you’re cost conscious you could do a whole lot worse than this little wonder.

DON’T BUY THIS
I bought this based on all good reviews BUT after 4 months start to change function alone, does not turn on or sometimes off, battery doesn’t recharge, stop to play, and much more…

This item unlike the other iPod-friendly speakers that have an FM radio option, sounds really good! Not the transistor radio type sound and there is a subwoofer out jack input. I purchased it to take on vacation in August and have not been disappointed since with almost daily use. It sits in my office at work, which make it very useful to get the news stations and listen to music that suits my mood through out the day. It charges the iPod when it’s docked and it operates on a rechargeable battery which makes it portable.

Product Great; AL Customer Service Poor
I’ve owned this dock for two years, and while it was working, it was great. Well, it quit working, and after one very curt response from Altec Lansing customer support, I’ve heard…

Not the best Altec-Lansing offering for iPod
I purchased this for my office but was disappointed with the sound quality – or lack thereof. I previously had the T600-series model for Zune, which had amazing sound.

Does not work with iTouch 2G
Despite clear product specifications, this product does not work with iToucg 2G. I replaced it thrice but all units had same issue – they worked well with older ipods but did not…

Perfect for iPods, warning for iPhones!
I bought these speakers for my iTouch and it works perfectly. You have to watch out for some rattle issues if you get the speaker volume up too high and have the speakers on a…

Not For iPod Touch 2nd Gen
Even though the product specs and box clearly state that the iM600 is compatible with iPod Touch 2nd Gen, it is NOT.

Radio feature FAILS
The inMotion 600 is pretty much a piece of junk. The buttons are cheapish and at times unresponsive.
