i think it does the job. have not really checked out the coolness factor. too lazy. but it has a cool blue light that looks cool though. buy it already especially if you like gadgets with cool blue lights.

All that fancy description and basically it is a giant plastic laptop cooler upside down.
Issues:
1. Even on low, its to loud.
2. It should come with some ducting so hot air can be moved beyond the back of the unit.
3. The giant blue light makes it look like a toy.

I use this to keep my ONKYO
receiver cool. Awesome job.

I bought this fan to cool my Panasonic home theater receiver that I keep in a closet. It works! Before the fan the shelf above the receiver was hot to the touch after a half an hour of use. Now it stays cool, very near ambient tempurature. The fan is quiet and effective.

I was a little leary after reading SOME of the negative reviews, but it was exactly as advertised and a great looking unit. I am very pleased with it.
