My son’s MAC was nearly destroyed when their LAV-25 burned. He needed a new power supply and Amazon got a new one to Iraq in record time. They shipped to the FPO address with excellent instructions for appropriate addressing. Not the cheapest price in town – but the service was well worth any minor price savings.

While the Apple power adapter looks interesting, it has some significant flaws.
1) The plug is attached directly to the adapter. This means that you have a large box sticking out of the wall and occupying real estate. IBM and Dell are both better in this respect: they have a cable that runs from the laptop to the adapter, and another that runs from the adapter to the wall. MUCH more usable.
2) The cable is WAY too short. I am constantly annoyed at the short reach of the cable. Granted, the Powerbook has an astonishing battery life, but that doesn’t change the fact that adding 2-3 feet to the cable would make it a lot less frustrating and restrictive to use.
3) THEY BURN OUT FREQUENTLY. By that I mean that the cable heats up and burns through the protective sheathing. Fortunately I purchased the AppleCare plan and can get it replaced, but what a hassle.
The rest of my experience with the PowerBook has been fabulous. I love the machine, and am SO glad I switched in December. But for a company known for its design skills, I am utterly disappointed by this power cord.

This is an awesome upgrade from the original circular power adapter. This adapter has a light indicator on the connector that tells you if it is charging or if it is not charging.

I don’t know what’s up with all the bad reviews on here. I’ve used mine every day for 2 years and had no problems. My dad has one that’s 3 years old and he hasn’t had a problem either…
Maybe its expensive for a power adapter, but mine works great.

When my laptop power adapter started acting up and wouldn’t charge properly, I panicked as I have to have my laptop up and running. My son suggested I check amazon for a new one. I went there and found the adapter I needed and ordered it. I feel the price was very good AND the seller shipped it ASAP which was great! I was back in business in no time!!!
