The estimated use time by this manufacture must have been calculated by someone who turned on their computer and just let it sit there. It’s a great laptop however don’t expect more than 2 hours of use before needing to re-charge. Better plan on cleaning up all of the stuff that ASUS puts on the computer or you can take a “NAP” before it finishes booting. My F50SF came with Vista and although it doesn’t matter anymore, I have been waiting for Windows 7 for more than 5 weeks. It was promised by Oct 22.

This is a great little laptop. It has everything you need. Plenty of RAM, USB spots, an HDMI out port, webcam, LED display, 3-in-1 card slot, and 1 of the best laptop video cards around. Only problem is Vista 32 bit. That OS doesn’t release the full potential. Its bright, shiny, and functional.

The laptop is all that was promised. It is very nice and very fast. The only thing that is really disheartening is that when I received the laptop there was a light scratch on the touchpad and the zero key won’t press down at all which is really annoying. I don’t know if that is crappy assembly by ASUS or if it was Amazon’s fault. Thank goodness for the awesome warranty because I will probably have to use it.

I’ve been using Asus products for years now to build my computers so when it came time for me to purchase a laptop, I thought it was worth giving them a shot. I’m an IT major in college that has to run many virtual servers. I also game a lot so I needed it to be able to play just about anything. Well I can tell you this laptop does it all. I can multitask like no ones business. Even though it came with a good amount of bloatware, about an hour after cleaning it up it ran amazing even with vista. I’ll be using the free upgrade to get windows 7 in October. In a nutshell I can play crisis, prototype, wow, you name it. Or when I’m in class I have run up to 6 servers while browsing the web, listening to music, talking on msn and googletalk. Never once Have I had a hiccup or error. I am in total love. And did I mention how beautiful this thing is? Its one of the best looking laptop I have seen with out going too over the top. The only thing I wish this had was a bigger hard drive (I’m sure I’ll be upgrading that) and an eSATA port. If you’re looking for a laptop that can handle just about anything and not kill your wallet then look no further. You will be more than happy with this. Asus has won me over once again.
