I received this as a birthday present just shy of one year ago. The speaker sounded good, a bit hollow, but not bad for a single speaker. We used this for four months, then I put it away in the basement for the winter (to keep the battery from draining).
Pulled this out over the weekend, charged it overnight, and then…nothing. The battery would not hold the charge. I contacted Cables Unlimited and was told they do not make a replacement battery for this. Also, since it was 5 days over the one-year warranty period, they would not replace the speaker. So basically, we have a very plastic-looking rock that now works only when plugged into a power outlet.
I highly recommend everyone stay away from this product, unless they want to throw their money away for something with far-too short of a lifespan.

I ordered two speakers. At first, one made a thumping noise every 15 seconds, the other speaker worked fine. The next time I used them, both speakers sounded perfectly clear and loud. Wish I had remote to operate volume levels because I am always adjusting sound to match volume levels of specific songs, some heavy and some soft. Other than that, I enjoyed them and will buy them again. The dollar value was right and transaction and delivery went smoothly as expected.

I love the convenience of the unit. The only problem is that the sound quality is not that great. The volume level is fine but the tone is so tinny.

Seems to be a good rock, and a decent speaker. The reception is good for about 50 ft at my house, which is split level on a grade with the back yard at the second floor compared to the first. Good reception on the first floor; not too good in the back. Good battery life; good sound; reception could be better.

Nothing could be easier… Nothing could be better… If you’re considering it, buy it!!! This is a slam dunk!!!
