To make this very simple, check out the reviews for the AS-5 speakers by Audioengine. I have a review there, as well as pointing you to the real deal on these units. Before you do I will tell you this, it WILL be well worth your time. There are not enough words in the dictionary or thesaurus to describe how I feel about this companies product. WOW!!!!!!!! Kick A**. I guess that pretty much sums it up.

This subwoofer is the perfect companion to the Audioengine A5’s. The adjustments allow you to hit its sweet spot and not try hit the higher frequency notes. My only complaint would be that the volume adjusts completely independently of the A5’s. So if I want to adjust the volume without screwing up my balance between my A5’s and subwoofer, I need to do it with the computer sound card as opposed to the volume dials.
The A5’s combined with S8 sound more accurate than my Definitive Technology 7.1 system using a Yamaha receiver.
