Audiovox does not supply the cable you need to connect your portable DVD player to a television set. This means you have to buy, separately, a male-to-male RCA cable just to watch a DVD on this player on TV.

This DVD player did not live up to expectations. I would not play video Cd’s but most other portable DVD units will. The picture is really poor. Its has some cool features but not enough to offset the negative issues. I am going to give it away at a fundraiser because I do not want it.

Yes, it does have digital picture frame software, but the screen resolution and display quality are really poor. If grainy, offhue display are okay (and for kids to watch in the car is what I’ll use this for), then this unit may be acceptable. But if you want to show off decent photos, look elsewhere.

I just received this unit after waiting 8 weeks on back order. So far it does everything I had hoped for. It doesnt say it in the spec’s but I just put in a dvd-r data disk that I made to back up my photos and it started playing a slide show of them. Looks like a great way to show photos to friends. It does the same thing when I connected a 4 gig thumb drive to it with photos on it.
