I can’t write a review for this game. It won’t play on my computer and I am stuck for 40 bucks because I can’t return it. There ought to be a law against not being able to return computer games that don’t work for you.

I was very disappointed in Battlestations: Midway. I have a state-of-the-art pc and after installation, the game would not even load the tutorial.
I returned Battlestations:Midway to Amazon the next day. Like I said, a huge disappointment.
I usually sell my pc games on Amazon but in this case I refuse to “stick” somebody else who buys this program with the expectations that its playable.

This is an excellent game featuring many single player scenarios and lots of multiplayer action. If you are in the market for a war simulation game, this is one of the games that you need to try.

This game was not what I expected at all. I was expecting much easier gameplay. The idea that you have to complete preassigned missions to move on is not a very good one. If you cannot get beyond any mission, the rest of the game is useless because you will never experience completion. Get this game when it’s cheap only!!

This is my second naval warfare game (my first was silent hunter). This game has some great aspects. During gameplay you get to control ships, submarines, and planes! There is a map screen where you can issue commands to your units and orchestrate broader strategies too. It comes with a campaign mode and several challenge scenarios where you are limited to 1 or 2 units versus unfavorable odds. I enjoyed every minute playing this game.
However, I was disappointed at points. First, there are not enough campaign missions. Second, the missions they do have do not always allow all the ships, and you have no choice in which ships you get. It’s pretty much staged scenarios that make for little replay value.
NOTE: I have NOT played the multi-player mode of this game yet because I do not have a fast enough internet connection. I am hopeful that this mode of playing it will make up for what I was wanting out of the campaign mode – namely, choose your ships and more replay value.
