Amazon is wrong about the suggested retail. Even Belkin sells this thing for 25 bucks on their own website.

I own this product (was a gift to me from my spouse). Anyhow, it works great for the regular plugs. The thing about USB is there are different types, and some items overclock USB. It will not charge an overclocking device. Other than that, it works well for charging my cell phone through the USB charger. Everything else I own does the thing (proprietary enabling) of overclocking their product so that the USB charger cannot recognize the device.
This happens on computers a bit. If you buy a Saitek keyboard, it overclocks the USB, so only a Saitek mouse will work with it. That is not the only brand that does this, but an example.
So, items that are proprietary (game systems, etc) would probably not work charging from this charger. Mine don’t.

Bought this specifically for charging my kids’ SanDisk 4GB Sansa Clip mp3 players. It charges two of them at the same time. It does appear, however, that the Sansa Clip charges faster if it is turned on while it is connected to this power supply. Make sure the Sansa Clip is “on” and in “pause” mode for best results.

It sure is hard to tell how big this thing is from a picture. It’s about as big as 2 cell phones if that helps. I’ll probably just travel with the little AC to USB converter that comes with the new iPhone. It’s MUCH smaller.

I was hoping to use two of these in my charging valet but it had several drawbacks that weren’t obvious until I tried it.
1) three prong – all my bricks are two prong, as is my extension cord. Now a heavier cord or an adapter is needed.
2) Bigger / bulkier than expected
3) Daisy-chaining two together – the USB’s on one conflict with the end plug on the other
4) Bricks overlap adjacent socket.
Net is that with two of these, I get three usable outlets and four USBs, but it doesn’t fit anyway given the bulk, the heavy cords, and the three-to-two prong adapter.
