This works much better than the cleaner we had before. It cleans very well.

I have to admit for the price it does a decent job. Like others said you have to refill the tank frequently but it’s easy to do and a bigger tank would make the machine heavier/harder to move around. Our carpet hadn’t been cleaned in three years and was very dirty in the high traffic areas. I would say they look 75% better. I was hoping for a miracle and the carpets to look completely new but no luck. Maybe if I do some pre-treating and elbow grease. The stair attachment is less than desirable. It sprays a crazy stream and would be better if it had a rotating brush. I read briefly in the manual there is some clean up/maintenance to do with the machine after you finish the job but I was too tired to tackle that last night so I will review that today and attempt to keep the machine as the manual states. I do feel like the carpet has kind of a rough feeling to it like the soap dried on it or something but it’s probably just the feeling of clean fibers??? I plan to vacuum today now that it’s dry and maybe that will soften it all up a bit. Overall great for the money, not too heavy and I see an improvement in the carpets. I would recommend this product.

The Bissell ProHeat 25A3 works very good I highly recommend it, it did a great job cleaning our carpets, it seems to produce results very close to a professional steam cleaning machine. You can buy the refile cleaning solution at many common department and hardware stores it is cheaper that way too. I bought the hard floor attachment and I must say it is a complete waste it doesn’t do a whole lot for hard floors it is very impractical for that kind of job.
It is probably more economical to buy the ProHeat rather than rent a steam cleaning machine for $30.00 or so a day, you have to hurry and knock yourself out trying to get it done in one day plus you’ll be back in a year or so to rent it again, why not just have your own you can use any time you want and if it last long enough it will easily pay for itself too. Certainly beats paying the professionals to steam clean your carpets since they could easily charge you more than than the ProHeat cost just for one cleaning.
The ProHeat is about the same size as a regular vacuum you’ll have to fill and empty the water/solution container 2 or 3 times for and average room. The carpet drys in about 4-5 hours. The small tool works OK but I used the whole machine on the stairs since I wanted the full benefit of the bristle and vacuum action on those, it was pretty tough to do but I got good results.

Where do I begin? I’ve had this for a year and a half and the sprayer has already broken. This means I basically can only use the hand tools and the suction feature. Not fun to clean your entire carpet on your hands and knees! Also, it creates as many spots as it cleans–it leaks dirty water. Disgusting! You constantly have to start and stop to empty the water, fill it back up and fill up the cleaner. I hate it.

I was starting to get embarrassed over how my carpet looked and was tired of paying carpet cleaners. My husband and I had considered buying a carpet cleaner and today I finally did it. I was attracted by the compact size and low price. I got it at Target for $169.00 and it came with a $20.00 gift card so it was really $149.00. I did almost my entire house before I took a break. I was so thrilled with how easy it was to use and by the terrific results! I had no problem refilling the tank. Sure I had to do it several times but I don’t want a machine that is huge and takes up alot of storage space. As far as the filters go all I had to do was rinse them…and my carpet had alot of cat fur in it even though I had vacuumed. I was impressed by how much dirt the cleaner pulled up. Now I’m asking myself, “Why did I wait so long to buy this?”
