I purchased this item and found it to be made very poorly. There were no instructions in the box for the proper use. After the first day it no longer worked. Sad but true.

This device has one, no two things going for it.
It does charge the iPhone without needing to turning on airplane mode, and it does broadcast FM about as well as anything else I’ve tried.
I’ve used FM transmitters for years on various devices including XM radios, iPods and now the iPhone. This one is about as clear as any of the others I’ve used.
But there are several problems with the unit.
Physically, it holds the iPhone a little too loosely. I had it bounce out of the gripper a few times when going over railroad tracks or going through an intersection. If the iPhone doesn’t jump of the grippers, the whole unit will eventually work it way out of the cigarette lighter adapter. Can I just take a side note here and say: When are we going to get auto power adapters that were not designed 50 years ago for the sole purpose of heating an element to spark a cigarette?
The unit is heavy and unbalanced when the iPhone is attached, so any bump, turn, accelerate, brake causes the unit to shimmy and eventually it works out of the power adapter hole. I usually have to check and re-seat the device every couple of miles so it doesn’t fall out enough to lose power.
When the unit does fall out, it forgets the FM transmitting station, so you have to re-tune it to the preset you are using while listening. This is a double pain because…
When the iPhone is installed, it extends above the LCD display and the remote sensor, so you can’t read the display and you have to fire down with the remote over the iPhone to get it to respond to the remote. If you are selecting FM transmitting stations, you cannot see the LCD disply to know which preset you have selected.
On the subject of the remote, it has very few features beyond pause, play, skip forward, skip back. You cannot control the iPhone, select playlists, or songs, or albums, or anything else with the remote.
I would not recommend this unit.

This prodect is terrible! At first, I thought it was okay. You could tell that the quality wasn’t the best but it worked. However after probably 10 uses I plugged it in one morning and…nothing. Then I went to pull it out of the socket and the tip of the plug broke off in my cigarette adapter. I then commenced to try and remove, almost shocking myself as sparks flew, the whole works. Now of course it is perfectly useless. Highly NOT recommended.

I really liked this device, especially the USB plug on the side that allows your other apps to charge from the same socket.
A family member managed to break it within the first month…not sure who to blame, the product or the person
I will probably order another to replace it, as it worked well.
