This toaster is much more better than the 2-slice toasters I’ve bought in the past. The toast comes out perfect without over drying out like the smaller toasters. I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a new toaster.

I got this toaster when my toaster oven “died”. I was very disappointed with the quality of the toast of this Black & Decker. It took forever to toast and the toast wasn’t even done and looked kind of weird. I returned it and ended up getting the Michael Graves Design (by Hamilton Beach) 4-slice toaster at Target. I didn’t buy on Amazon because I was told that the shipping from Target was very excessive, so just went to Target and purchased it. I heard about that toaster as it was very highly reviewed by some magazines.
I was very happy I made the exchange. The Target toaster is far superior and made perfect toast in less time. Even better than my toaster oven had before. Highly recommend the Michael Graves toaster from Target. It is under $40.

I chose this toaster for two reasons. The larger slots for bagels and the length of the slots. We tend to get bread thats wider (or longer depending on how you look at it) The toaster looks great. Works well. Only problem was that when I got it and plugged it in. The left side of the toaster didn’t work. The coils would heat up if I held the lever down. But the lever wouldn’t lock into place. After a bit of time I finally looked into getting a replacement. My thanks to amazon for being so helpful. They shipped a second toaster to me at no cost. However this one didn’t work at all. both levers would not lock into place. So I assumed one last try. This one seems to work ok. Despite my inexperience amazon was most helpful and quick with providing a new one.
Over all nothing bad about the toaster. If I could I would give it a 2.5 instead of a 3. it feels like the half way point considering the trouble of levers.
Black and Decker has been a bit of a disappointment in this regard.

Overall a good value. We first noticed that a couple of the wires were “dim”, but it doesn’t seem to effect the operation at all. Toast comes out evenly toasted.
