We were given our first single cup coffee brewer perhaps several years ago, and we decided that was the only coffee maker for us. Confession: but it was not a Breville, and we thought it couldn’t be topped. This is not the first time I’ve been wrong!
The Breville has a sleek stainless steel finish that looks very up-to-the-minute in our kitchen. So, a big plus for appearance. Add another plus for the blue LCD screen, and one more for the digital clock and automatic on/off.
We’ve been using the Breville for some time, and we’re more than impressed. By the way, we also like the wide variety of K-cups available for use with this system.
To date, we’re giving it a high five!

I purchased my first unit and immediately realized that my molars and kitchen dishes would come crashing down after regular use. Boy it was loud. Thankfully Breville customer support walked me through my issues and we determined it was a defective unit. I was sent a replacement, returned the original with no hassle and about one week. The new machine (we are on month four) is whisper quiet and is doing well. Overall, K-Cups continue to impress. The built in filter for ground coffee is worth experimenting. Do not be discouraged (as I was) and try it once. My first time was weak. My mother-in-law worked on it for a morning and after four cups pointed out that grinding it to fine and packing it in helps with strength. Good feature to include that extra filter for weekends when we have more time. Overall, this unit perfoms well. I got rid of my Senseo for this device and it works with our black, cherry and stainless steel kitchen.
