I ordered this printer with free 3-5 day Super Saver shipping. Two days later, I checked on the shipping status. It wouldn’t be delivered for 5-6 weeks! I talked to a customer service rep. Devender S., who later sent me an email saying he had cancelled the order because it was out of stock at Amazon and didn’t know when it would be in stock even though the website showed it in stock. One week later, I received the printer after I had purchased another printer from another company. I sold the printer to a friend. One star for Amazon and 5 for the printer.

Bought a US Canon Pixma MP620 for use in EU. The (internal) power supply info, molded onto the machine, gives two conflicting pieces of information:
“100V 50/60 cycles”
and on a separate line below it:
“100-240V 50/60 cycles.”
I would like to use it directly with the EU 230V 50 Cycle.
Because of the conflicting info, I’m using a 220-110V transformer. Is it safe to eliminate the transformer, and plug into the 230V directly?

I’ve owned a dozen printers so far and this Canon, altho I like Canon products, is
way,way too complicated. I went thru the set up fine but
from there on it’s mainly non-USB so I didn’t need all that crap.
What “manual” they have is on the Net or on the Disk. You have to download it. On, and on, and on…..I gave up on it, got bored and
never found out how to scan, or print. Ended up pushing any and all
buttons but it took so long to go through them. I was ready to pull
my moth-balled, and hated Lexmark all-in-one out of the closet because
I had a print job to do fast (which I had to send myself an e-mail attachment and do it at work). That was two months ago and I haven’t
yet figured out how to get this Canon to do simple jobs like just Print!
Forget the scan part, tho finally got a scan done but the quality was not
much if any better than my hated Lexmark P4350. With the four or five
ink tanks I’m afraid to know the price of tank replacement which I’m sure will cost about the same price as the MP620 itself. All in all, I am not pleased with the machine and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, Geeks aside, with just an average level of printer user ability, or someone with the patience to read the voluminoua manual with everything in it except what you’re probably looking for in a hurry.

After HOURS of trying to set this printer up to Wifi on my one MAC, I still can’t get it to work my laptop. The photo printing looks HORRIBLE to…

Read the reviews, they all have some truth to them. Yes, this prints very well, but that is where my positive commentary ends. My ip4000 also printed very well and the features all worked as advertised. Now I know why a used ip4000 is selling for more an eBay than this unit sells new. I certainly hope this is not indicative of a trend with Canon products!
