I have not been able to use this product because the ink and paper I ordered at the same time as the Canon Selphy has not arrived as yet. If I can’t get ink, I will be very unhappy with the entire purchase. I’ve rated it as a 3 because that is middle of the road. Who knows what I would have rated had I been able to use the product.

I purchased this printer for use in an area without power and on the strength of the words ‘Optional Battery’ in the description. The manual does not list this as an accessory, there is no place to put batteries, and the specs in the manual state that it is 24V at something like 400 Watts (from my shaky memory). If you had a couple of car batteries, you should be able to run this, but not any set of small batteries unless I missed something.
I sent mine back. It is probably a good printer if you do not need battery.
The printer is made in China.

I bought this printer as part of the bundle with the camera and could not be happier. This stand-alone unit prints excellent pictures. The only downfall of this unit is the cost of the ink and paper – but when looking for a photo printer of this style and type, you can’t really expect anything less. This printer delivers fast, quality pictures without having to be connected to a computer – perfect for visits with family. And the pink – well, since mine came as a bundle with a pink camera – is just adorable. Matches my pink Sony Viao laptop perfectly!

I have always wanted a photo printer for almost 10 years now. Perhaps its because the earlier photo printers from back in the late 90’s did not produce great quality photos, I have always been hesitant about buying one. But ever since I bought a new digicam I have been taking tons of random photos and I have been stocking them all on my computer. I never felt the strong urge to take my photos to a printing center and allow them to view my random silly family photos, so I searched the web for several months to find me a cheap affordable decent quality home photo printer. I bought this printer thinking that the quality would be okay but not so great like the photo centers. boy was I wrong! the quality of these printers are amazing! I’ve been printing pictures like crazy, making photo collages, scrap books etc. This is a very fun, pleasant little machine to have in your home
