This external hard drive was dead out of the box. It would power on, but it would not be recognized by any machine I tried. Their technical support was out to lunch (??) when I called so I got to talk to someone else. They confirmed that the drive was inoperable and said that I could get an RMA from the website. I chose instead to return the defective drive for a refund and buy something else not made by Cavalry.

these people were great and the product works good. The first one I ordered was defective. I called the company and they were extremely nice. They agreed to send another one but said if I ordered it through amazon the shipping would be free. The second drive has been tropuble free.
Great customer service

This device works exactly as it should. I have owned it for a couple of months now and have not encountered a single problem. I use a computer running Windows Vista and there are no compatibility issues. Very affordable and reliable, worth the money.

Ummm I don’t know much about the technical stuff but this product is a bit slow I had one before which was pretty fast and work well but if you are looking for something that’s cheap then this a good bet….

I use this drive as a primary backup device on my iMac G5. It worked fine out of the box and has been reliable for nearly a year. It is quiet and runs cool.
I consider it a good value and would buy another. I would be pleased to give a 5-star review, but the screws shipped for mounting the stand did not match the holes. I simply stand it on edge and it works fine.
