I’ve had it for a few days now, have passed several oncoming police vehicles on my commute, and not a single alarm has gone off. However, whenever I pass my local Safeway, it goes bonkers when the doors open for customers. Lets say Im less than convinced of the detectors ability to do anything other than irritate me.

This a nice size detector. The only problem so far has been that I could not mount to my windshield because the little suction cups are too stiff and will not create suction to hold detector in place. The alarms seem to be accurate and gives me a heads up. I try not to speed and I think the detector helps me stay aware to avoid speeding.

I bought this for my husband. We’ve had it about 3 weeks now. The only time the thing has ever gone off is in front of stores. We’ve passed several cops, and it doesn’t do a thing. No matter what setting we have it on. Perhaps we got a faulty one. I’ll never know. All I know is we we’re driving home the other day and there was a cop on the side of the road visably running radar, pointed right at us, and the detector never even made a sound. Didn’t even pick it up. Oh well. $35.00 wasted.

I have four vehicles that I am “accountable” for. With the latest addition of number four came my fourth Cobra and the latest technology with 9 bands. I like things simple and effective. This has the same mount, the same jack input and the basically the same simple functionality as the other three. It is a little more precise as it can pick up a signal a bit quicker than the three year old one I also have.
My thinking right or wrong:
They all work extremely well for my needs from a 911 to a Standard Company Issued Impala
The total of all four detectors was under $200.
Someone will think twice about breaking a window and stealing a $40 Price Brand Cobra given the risk for return on a resale is limited to 10 bux maybe??
I like the Cobra line of detectors!
