I bought this product for the features and price. I’ve been using it for a short time so I still have no clear opinion on their quality. I bought a Wristler before and it was really good since the first time I used it, but I don’t know what to say about this one.

overall the product features are good. u can disable any brand that u dont want to use. especially, x brand & k brand: this unit can let u disable it. pro mode is good for advance user. Read the manual b4 use this unit then u will know how to operate it. voice alert after the alarm signal, sounds clear and loud. some feature must turn on b4 use. false signal not much at all. i bought 2 of this, one for me and one for my brother. i turned the pop mode on when i’m driving on the hwy, it pick up the warning signal, but i dont know it is false or not, i didnt c any cop around…..
in the city, even the cop is in front of me or next to me, but my unit never get any alert.

A nice unit. Very sensitive. While it does react to something in traffic signals, it DEFINATELY reacts to police radar!! The Voice feature cuts through clutter and lets you know something is going on. It has saved me a number of times already; not from downright SPEEDING but from those traps where you are doing 50 in a politically marked 30MPH zone and it’s GIVE SOME TICKETS day.

This radar detector detects false alarms about 95% of the time. I wish I could return it. Nothing like previous Cobra radar detectors I have owned, which worked great. I would not recommend this particular model to anyone who is in the market for a radar detector.

This is a very well designed Cobra 14 band radar/laser detector. It has multiple functions of which can be turned on or off.
Some earlier reviews remarked that it is too sensitive, Thats not true, reading the instructions is a must for this detector as it is not just a basic plug and play.
Yes you can just plug it in but you have the option of adjusting it for your driving conditions.
The intelimute shuts the detector off when the engine rpms fall below a certain level.
This eliminates a constant warning while you are sitting still.
The voice feature is nice. It can be turned off or on.
I found it odd that it begins with a female voice saying ” system ready” and afterwards the warnings are male voices.
I would not recommend this as a first detector because it’s features would overwhelm a novice.
But for the seasoned detector user, this is a great detector to have.
It has a built in memory that will store any settings you make to the detector when the power is turned off,
I have owned several detectors in the past both cobra and whisper and I am very pleased with this model.
