COBY PRODUCTS ARE GREAT FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS WHEN MOST PEOPLE WRITE A REVIEW. IT WILL NOT LAST MUCH LONGER AND THE COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THE WARRANTY.

The quality of this item was very poor. The power plug did not fit snug & therefore fell out easily; there were 3 bright pixels that distracted from the viewing; the AV in did not function properly. This discourages me from buying other Coby products. However, Amazon did refund my full purchase, as well as that of the case I had bought with it.

This item has never worked properly from the very beginning. We bought it on the 24th of Nov. for Christmas. We used it on NEW YEARS DAY. It would freeze and not read dics. We’ve tried every disc in our library, 200. It would only play 30 and then freeze on half of those. We now have to pay to return and if we are lucky, we get a whoppin 1/2 of the sale price back. STAY AWAY from this product.

I had a problem with this equipment twice. First time it did not work. Power was on and off. Second time it work very well but all of a sudden it lost the sound. Since the it is good value and amazon.com is and excellent company to deal with returns I had to go with it again

This is my third Coby DVD player I used. When you order COby, you have to know one thing, they are cheaply build and low quality. That is probably the reason why the come with only 90 day warranty, becasue they break soon after.
This particular model, is my first one, it is ok to get it for what I use it, mainly for kids to watch their Elmo shows. The resolution is QVGA, the display is very weak, and can easily break, it does not read most of the DVDs, especially if they are copies, freezes all the time etc.
So this product is just as bad quality as the other Coby products that I had TFDVD7050. The reason why I got this because I thought that I could use SD card and avoind DVD reading, which Coby is terrible at.
Bad news it only reads older SD cards, not the current generation of Hight Capacity SD cards. So I probably have few months to try to get some of the older model SD cards before they go out of sale.
By the way, dont expect to go to their site and get any support for this item, even manual is not avalaible for download. I guess that makes sense since the one that came with it in the box has practically no useful information, for example it does not even list the compatibility issues with SD cards for USB memory sticks.
This is my last Coby product that I ever bought.
p.s. I also found out on the internet that they are giving a hard time to one person who’s name is Coby, about coby.com domain name. Lawsuits and what not to force him to give up coby.com.
