Think more “glorified Microsoft Pain” than “Paintshop Pro rip-off.” Either way, not really much impressive in any aspect. You’re best sticking with the staples.

I was so excited about trying this new drawing program since I do a lot of images on my blog. But imagine my surprise when I opened the box and popped the CD into my hard drive to find out that I need a DVD-Rom drive. UGH! Hopefully I’ll get one of those soon and try this software which is amazingly packaged. Like I said, it’s probably cool, but I didn’t read the fine print requiring the DVD-Rom. FYI!

I snatched this product up since I was such a huge fan of Corel Paint Shop Pro, I’ve been around it since it’s Jasc days. After installing it, I have to say that I was disappointed. I thought that maybe Corel Photo-Paint would be similar, and it is, but it lacks in many ways. I’m not much on drawing, so I never could get Draw to work. I’ve gone back to using PSP.

Even though CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, has a tutorial, it was not very helpful to me at all. I found it difficult to figure out how to write on the various different templates, for example when making a business card or banner. To integrate a picture for the business card, was horrible. I couldn’t even get the picture to open. I t was not a picture taken from the internet it belonged to me. This program is not user friendly. I find it easier to use Corel Painter Essentials 4.

I was happy to upgrade my corel version 12 to the new corel x4 and .to be honestly after 3 days of stragling with this new version I starting to give up ,it suck . the program crash many time for any change aplying affect’s to your work , or you have to wait until 1 0r 2 minutes to screen set up and keep working with a proyect. complete dissaponted. better corel come up with a update solution to this problem and even adding up the memory from 25 to 75 still pretty slow.
