I bought this product to upgrade from 512MB 667 RAM. After the upgrade, my computer ran slower than before and i got the blue screen a few time. When checking back, i found that each of the 1GB modules only showed up as 512MB. And with the two installed, windows only showed 1GB. The blue screen was cause by one of the ram sticks suddenly dropping off.
Summary: paid for 2GB, got 1GB
One of the modules has a fault.

Purchased this kit to upgrade a dual core home PC running 32-Bit XP that my son primarily uses for schoolwork and games after noticing that it was running a bit slower these days on its original 1Gig of installed DRAM. The 2×1GB kit pack was convenient and well priced. Popped them into the two empty sockets and have had no issues. Price / Convenience and out of the box reliability. I’d use Corsair again should the need arise.

Absolutely no problems with the RAM chips. Speedy deliver, easy install and performs precisely as advertised.

The purchase procedure went well, got my order a day or two early. The installation was easy, however the ease of installation depends on the setup of the PC. The PC recognized the RAM immediately with no problems. Now whether this RAM is any better than any other I couldn’t tell you because this is the only RAM I’ve installed since they stopped making 128 MB sticks.
