[...]. Did you ever test this product on Linux cowon? I doubt that very much. I know that ‘Linux’ can mean a lot different target distros and platforms, but why not test your products on the most common variant out there (maybe the most recent ubuntu, that would be a start). This player wont appear as an MTP device and when I started copying files over in MSC mode the player choked after around 1.5Gb and then failed to restart.
This is a known problem to cowon, so maybe they will fix it. I was on firmware 2.31b2. This is not an issue for the smaller players, just the 32gb version.
Shame on you cowon. Next time test the platforms you claim you support.

Got mine and immediately thought it was very, very nice: amazing sound and picture. Didn’t have much time to try anything else because the next day a flickering line appeared down the center of the screen and would not go away. I didn’t even have it 24 hours. Had to RMA and ship it back at my expense. Who knows how long they’ll take to get it back… weak!

This player is pricey and I haven’t tried other mp3 players. But I do like this one and there are updates now and then for it. It includes various things, it is great for lists to take along with you with the most resent update. It added a note keeper to it. I’m not sure other mp3 players have this going for them. I would recommend this player.

I got this MP3 player to use at the gym to watch cartoons as I did cardio. I’m unable to do that, because the video output is too dark. I’ve yet to find a way to make it brighter – I’ve turned the brightness setting up to the highest setting (6). I also bought the output-to-TV cables, and the output on the TV is terribly dark too. The source files are not dark when viewed on my PC.
The audio sounds great. I primarily listen to audio books on it, but the few times I’ve listened to music, it’s sounded really great.
The design for this is amazing. It’s easy and intuitive to do all the common tasks I’ve tried. I love the touch screen and tilt detection. Seeking in audio books is easy with their touch-to-seek interface.
