I bought 5 of these. Each one developed problems WITHIN ONE MONTH. 1 leaked all over the place ruining my wood floor, 2 became so noisy that I had to return them, 1 just stopped working about an hour after I plugged it in. Of the 5 I bought, I got replacements for 3. Of those three, 1 became incredibly noisy like the others, 1 stopped working and the other has an indicator light malfunction (red light stays on even though unit is working and filled). ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE JUNK.

I ordered two of the units… one for my room and one for the kids. The unit that works is fantastic. Ready to use right out of the box, simple instructions, and worked on the very first try. The other unit had an issue with leaking and then stopped working all together. I suspect the motor somehow got flooded from the leaking of the unit. We returned it without issue and received a prompt credit. The other one is still working great. The best humidifier I’ve ever owned. I picked this one because there is not yucky filter to change out. No mold smell, no issues. Just perfect. I wished the other one worked, so I’m a little disappointed, or I would have given 5 stars. I might order another one when they come back in stock. I wouldn’t worry about buying it. As long as you return it within 30 days Amazon is great if you have a problem. I’m sure I just got a bad egg, life happens!

I’ve only had this a couple of months, but I love it! Great output and very quiet!!! I fill it once a day if I run it non-stop on high, otherwise, only every couple days. I love Amazon too!! No crowds or gas money driving to Wally World!!!

I’ve been a consistent shopper at Amazon for over 5 years, and this was certainly my worst Amazon experience ever. I bought 1 humidifier and it worked perfectly. I was so impressed that I bought another one. The second one was defective because the fan didn’t work, so mist would collect below the basin and not get pushed out of the spout. When I lifted the basin, a fog bank would roll out and I knew it was the fan because I had the first humidifer to compare to. I asked Amazon for a replacemnet, which arrived promptly, and I immediately noticed that the replacemnt had been used (i.e., the cord was poorly wound, among other things). Sadly, the replacement had the same defect so I talked to an Amazon representative and explained the situation, including that I got a used replacement that had obviously been reshelved by their fulfiller. She said she would note the next request to insure that I got a new replacement. Very nice woman. The next replacement arrived promptly and, to my dismay but not my surprise, it was used and also had a defective fan. You gotta kidding me!!! If I didn’t have to pay for it, I’d take a hammer to darn thing and break it into little pieces, and then I’d shred the little pieces into tiny pieces and send the pile of tiny pieces back to the Amazon fulfiller in a ziplock bag with a Holiday card that said “Reshelve this!” Whew, I feel better now. That just saved me a therapy session, or at least the cost of a hammer and a humidifier. The bottom line is that while I really like Amazon, they sure needed better quality controls this time around. So, you’ve been warned.

Be aware that the 2.1 gallons is the output…not how much water it holds. I looked at the picture and the 4.5 liter capacity is about 1.2 gallons. This begs the question as to why this model is so much more expensive than their other similar capacity models with roughly the same output.
