It’s a toaster that the manufacturers have tried to make all singing and dancing, once you get the hang of the rather eccentric timings it produces reliable results, otherwise one lot comes out perfectly the next on the same settings is burnt or just warm. Dualit for us next time.

We replaced our T-Fal toaster because its lever arm broke. We loved it because of the LCD timer. The Cuisinart was chosen because of the brand name and the fact that it had an LCD timer screen. After a few weeks of getting used to what settings to use for each type of bread, we are very pleased with the CPT-170. It does a reasonably good job of toasting evenly.
Strangely, it asks you to keep the toaster unplugged when you are not using it.
This toaster stopped working after four months. The company replaced it promptly, including paying for UPS pickup at our home. So far the replacement is doing fine.

We just love this toaster. It toasts bread even and great. Love the count down. We have owned allot of toasters, several discount store models and one more up scale. They thru the toast out of the toaster, sometimes ending up on the floor. They may toast the bread, but the delivery left allot to be desired. They didn’t last long, but got so irritated with trying to catch the toast in mid air, I was glad to have a excuse to buy another toaster. Bought this one based on reviews and a 3 year warrenty, guess they believed enough in their toaster to put a 3 yr. on it. What a nice surprise!! Toasts wonderfully and don’t have to try and catch it in mid air. It gently raises the toast!!! Haven’t had to throw out any toast that ended up on the floor, isn’t that a nice thing!!! This is the best toaster, (so far, only owned it for about a month) since the one we got for a wedding gift way back in 1953 that lasted for over 10 years and it never pitched the toast out either, could it be we have found “the one” again!! Hope so, so far, so good. Glad I bought it!! Oh, good looking too! It has been 4 months now, love this toaster even more, we use it every day, we are soooo happy with it.

OK thought this would be my ultimate toaster… The coundown timer is so cool and a great idea for a premium toaster. The bummer part is the one side of the bread toasts up significantly darker that the other side. This happens in both of the toaster slots. I can see the elements on one side are much brighter than the other. Would like know if others have experinced similar results and found soulution…

I’ve owned a Cuisinart for years. It was beautiful, but never toasted evenly. The time always had to be adjusted down quite a bit if I toasted a second batch or it would burn it. My husband finally shorted it out, so I shopped for a new one. I saw this model and loved the looks and timer. It toasts one side of the bread much darker than the other. I gave it 2 stars because it looks great, but it will be going back. After reading all the glowing reviews, it’s hard to believe we have the same toaster model! Very frustrating for such an expensive product to perform so poorly.
