I purchased this product to use in the car with a laptop and cell phone via the USB. It worked well using the USB to power the cell phone but when I plugged in the laptop, the red fault light came on and it would not charge the laptop. I recommend finding out how much power (or Watts) your laptop needs before buying this product.

I bought the 175 W invertor thinking it would be sufficient for laptops but it did not work at all. after checking the specs on several laptops it appears that 175 Watts continous is a common standard, and this inverter only provides 130 watts continuous. Seems like misleading advertising. Check your laptop requirements before purchasing if that’s your intended use.

This is a great little gadget, exactly what I was looking for. Many times my cell phone runs down or my son’s DS dies and I don’t have a car charger for them. Instead of spending $20-$30 on car chargers for everything I bought this and I can use the standard charger, works great! I haven’t used the USB, but if I had to charge my IPod I could do that as well!

This is a very small unit that takes up only a small part of my travel bag and works great. I love the size … plug my laptop in and I got power.
