The bios died on my pc and I had all these photos on the hard drive. I used this product to move all my important files to another laptop. It worked great and saved thousands of photos for me.

I believe the product is a good product. However, it did not work with the SATA drive that I purchased for the enclosure. the HD is good and working fine. Placed into a Lenovo Thinkpad notebook.

Item was shipped promptly, received in good condition, and works as advertised.
Other viewers have commented on the small screws. I believe it helped that I had a small driver, but there was no problem.
My 160 gig SATA drive has been in constant use since I received this case, and seems to be doing well.

I purchased this case, and I put a brand new drive that works in other cases into the enclosure and it did not work. The drive tried to power up, but only made clicking sounds. I put both usb cables into the computer, so it wasn’t a power issue.
Regarding the case, as you can imagine it is a bare bones case. The connector for the hard drive is attached to the top of the case. Pay a little more money and you will get an enclosure with a tray that you screw the hard drive into and mount the hard drive onto before placing it in the enclosure. The more expensive case is sturdier, since there will be less of a chance of breaking the attachments since the drive is securely held on a separate mount. However, if this would have worked for me, then a bare bones case would have been fine for me…

Love it! Easy to install drive into, easy to secure case, easy easy easy.
Connected to Mac and PC with no issue.
Best bargain.
