I am very happy with my decision to get the ex70. I was looking for a ‘cheap man’s’ 1080p that could handle my PS3 for games and movies. My other requirements were inexpensive lamp replacement cost, long lamp life, quite operation, and short throw distance. The Epson preforms all my requirements very nicely. With a 2 year warranty this projector will give a anyone a happy experience at a outstanding price.

We bought this projector for our church and it works great in our setting. We’ve only had it for about 3 weeks and it’s been working great. It is a very bright projector, which is what we wanted. In the sport mode you will get the brightest screen.

We use it Commercially, Games, Home Theater
Commercially we use this product to the job of producing a big picture from 2 sources computer and Sony HDR-FX1. Our audience is anywhere from 100 to 300 people.
Games we use PS3 to play soccer, and trust me you feel as if you are in the actual game.
Home Theater, i’m never going to the theater again.
One advantage though is the true HDMI screen quality but then sound will have to be used from the projector which is’nt that bad but not that good either. So it works out for the games, for movies I would still suggest RCA connector and it’s pretty good. However sometimes you do feel in bright areas that it lacks the lumens but for [...] bucks you can’t go wrong.

Epson has always had good products, including their line of projectors; I bought this one for my home theater and was very satisfied with it. The setup was a breeze and i was watching movies in no time.
This is a hi-def (720p) with a native resolution of 1280×800 and aspect ratio 16:10 , the only thing i wish it could have is a lens shift control that can make installation a bit easier.
Besides its funtion as a home theater projector i also uses it for multimedia presentation because it has two features that we don’t normally see on other projectors; it accepts SD cards directly (there is a slot in the back to insert the card) and play slideshows, you can also connect your laptop via usb 2.0 cable – definitely not available on other projectors – instead of using the regular vga cable.
very practical and fast… I highly recommend the EX70.
