I was just at Target and bought this printer for $40! I thought it was a typo, but it’s true! I was looking for an inexpensive and reliable sheet fed scanner. It’s not connected yet, but I’m looking forward to using this printer/scanner and getting started.

I have tried to install the WorkForce 500 a couple of times and I can’t get it to do anything. I have tried to do it my self, but Monday I am going to call Epson and ask for help. I’m sure the product is very good, I have an other Epson printer, no problems.

I bought this product brand new, and the printer never worked (even after various procedures).

This printer doesn’t work out of the box with Ubuntu 8.10, but if you install the drivers from linuxprinting dot org it works great.
I have not been able to get the scanner working though.
