The machine broke the first time that I used it. The head of the machine seems to me much too heavy for the plastic parts that connect it to the shaft that is the handle insert. The handle shaft broke. I called the company and was told to take it to a local repair shop. I took it in and was ignored by the staff there for quite a while. I finally said “excuse me,” the woman never turned around and instead called to a man while pointing over her shoulder in my direction. She never turned from the two people that she appeared to be just having a casual conversation with, to adress me in any way. I was very upset about what I considered to being ignored for longer than you should be when during business. I did get a call about two and a half weeks after I took the machine in from a gentleman who said that the machine would be replaced, and he would let me know when it got in. He was apologetic. My main concern is the design. I do not believe that the handle shaft will be able to hold for long because it appears that the only thing holding it on the the head is two small plastic parts glued on. When the head is filled with water, it is too heavy for those small parts.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE STEAMER! It is my second one-the first one- a different brand- I had hoped to retire it to just the cats’ area….and thought I had bought a better one for the main house…wishful thinking….This steamer not only left the floor WET- a layer of water – it didn’t Clean worth a darn- it only “cleaned” for 5 minutes- barely a 5′x8′ area -entry hall….I had to get a towel to dry the floor AFTER I got on my knees and SCRUBBED the floor – it was wet enough!! It will go into a yard sale and hope someone will pay $5.00 for a piece of JUNK!! Thanks to all of you who left great reviews and persuaded me to WASTE my money!

I am very disappointed in this product! I read every review about the Eureka Enviro Steamer and couldn’t wait to try it! Needless to say I am not happy at all with it’s performance. It doesn’t seem to do anything! I would like to return it but since I used it I won’t get a full refund. I would like to try another steam mop but am scared to now! I don’t have another $70 to waste if it works like the Eureka Enviro Steamer!

I owned and loved a Bissel steam mop for years, but my housekeeper doesn’t like it because it gets the floors too wet and because the pads are difficult to change. She asked me to get a different kind. Based on the reviews here, I bought the ENVIRO Steamer, and I absolutely hate it. My biggest complaint is the number of parts I have to keep track of and store. There is a funnel for filling the water dispenser, a measuring cup for the same, the cleaning pads, and a tray that the cleaner must rest on while not in use. The microfiber cleaning pads work nothing like the cotton ones that come with the Bissel, and the ENVIRO steamer does not allow the user to control the amount of steam that is released. Then, unlike the Bissel, the ENVIRO steamer needs distilled water, so there is another item to keep on hand. The Bissel has a carbon filter built into the water tank, so the distilled water is not necessary. I’m sending the ENVIRO Steamer back and trying another brand.

I just got this steamer and it’s just terrible. It doesn’t heat to high heat. The floor is barely warm after I mop over it. The Enviro Steam also leaves the floor very wet. I am not impressed at all.
