In order to connect to a PC, you need to buy a ’special usb cable’ – sold separately.
This cable is ONLY sold by JVC, and it’s $24 + $7 for shipping!!

Bought this as a gift for the wife for Mother’s Day. It’s still sitting in the box a month later. So what else is new. Product arrived quickly and undamaged but so far remains a paperweight in our house.

I used to think I don’t need burner like this. After all, I’m a computer/tech guru and capable manage the vedio clip myself. But I was wrong. I should have brought this product earlier. The functions provided make sense – select, grouping, burn, archive…etc.

I have owned this dvd recorder for several weeks now. I also have the Everio HD camcorder. The dvd recorder is very easy to use to make dvd’s directly from the camcorder. What I have discovered is that the Everio DVD recorder only records to the -R format. Unfortunately, my home dvd player (a brand new Panasonic combo unit) only reads the +R format. Bummer! I have not checked around to see if other dvd players can read both formats or not. Of course you can play back -R dvd’s using the Everio burner and camcorder. If you do not need to make dvd’s to watch on your tv system, I would recommend this dvd burner.

This is the absolute best DVD burner, especially for the 1st time user. Easy, easy to use! Had just purchased a new digital camcorder, took vacation pics., and in less than 30 min., had a beautiful 120 min. DVD of memories! Had tried a Sony DVD burner, but this one is much easier to use! Love the slim lines, takes up less space.
