excellent satnav
Have just bought my Garmin nuvi 200 to replace a Tom Tom XL which gave me a load of trouble. I wuld recommend the Garmin for ease of use, good value for money etc.

complicated slow software updates
the reason i only gave this 3 stars is because of the complex and not very good software update web site , spent 2-3 hours geting latest map only for garmin 200 to say no maps…

I had been looking for a well-priced Garmin sat nav since I used one in the US. I was impressed there and am equally impressed here in the UK. It starts up quickly and is very up to date with recent road changes in my area. It is really tiny but not so small that you can’t see it, pretty perfect. I have yet to go on a long journey but I have no doubt the nuvi will get me where I want to go! I recommend the friction mount, no tell-tale rings on the windscreen. Overall: very impressed.

Recently bought this product and I am really pleased with it. Good value for money and also easy and simple to use, basically does what it says in the tin! Picks up all your speed cameras as well which is good if you are travelling long distances. Overall happy with my purchase and the price I got it for.

Having driven/ridden since the 60s, I swore I’d never have one!! When I saw this little gem at such a low price I thought I would give it a go to see what all the fuss is about. The service was excellent – ordered one day, dispatched the next and received the following day. I have now used it for a month and am very impressed. Easy to program with new addresses and places, it goes everywhere with me. I travel all over the UK in a van and it attaches easily to the screen where I can see and hear it quite clearly. For security, I can remove it in seconds and put it in my pocket. At weekends, I ride a motorcycle and can attach it to the screen in the same way where I can still see and hear it without the need for any earpiece. I’m sure the more expensive models have all sorts of additional features and ‘gismos’ but this model does the job at a remarkable price and is a great introduction to the world of Satellite Navigation.
