This was a gift for a 13 year old. She has a point and shoot camera but wanted more pixels and zoom. This was a good choice at a lower price compared to the big name cameras. And the pink color was a big hit.

I got the camera as a Christmas gift for my daughter – the camera’s quality is fantastic and takes good pics. With that said, it drains the life out of batteries like nobody’s business! My daughter drained the batteries by noon on Christmas day, and drained another pair of AA’s the day after.
It’s a great purchase if your kid can turn on the camera, point, shoot, then turn off: but if you have kids that tend to leave the lights on all day, and plays the tv, radio, and computer at the same time, you may want to consider upgrading to the camera with charging capabilities.
Update: there are batteries that can handle the kid’s needs. They cost more, but well worth it.

I was looking for a basic digital camera and this camera was a big disappointment. It stopped working after a little over a year (just past warranty). I do not recommend it.

I purchased this GE camera as the digital camera I was using broke and I needed to replace it quickly as my daily work involves taking pictures of properties for insurance purposes. I am so very pleased with this GE digital camera that I have decided to use it all of the time even though the other camera has been repaired. The ease of use, large viewing screen and compatability with my computer are the main reasons for my opinion. Ordering was very easy and dealing with Amazon is a definite plus.

For the prcie that I got the camera, I think it giveme good results. I really like the panoramic function because achive a good ones pics; however sometimes has a issue.
The scenes function is tight, but works if you need fast camera set for special enviroment
