My Iphone 3G stop working correctly shortly after I used this product, may be a coincidence, but it’s not worth the risk. Had to take the phone back to apple. I do not, and will not recommend this product.

I bought this product about 6 months ago and it is still working fine. I haven’t had any problems with it. It doesn’t appear to charge as quickly as when I charge on the computer or directly to the electrical outlet at home.

This device worked well for a long time, until the fall season came. The cable is made of a poor quality plastic and snapped clear off the connector, exposing the underlying wires. After a week the wires began the fail, the unit would disconnect from my iPhone and interrupt playing songs. If you live somewhere tropical, go for it, otherwise I would advise against getting this product.

The design of the product is quite nice. There is a lighted ring that indicates that the plug is powered. The connector fits snuggly into the iPhone.
However, it just doesn’t charge consistently. I’ve repeatedly tried unplugging and reconnecting the base plug, the phone, the connector between the cable and the base plug. Unplugging the cable from the base plug and reconnecting it will sometimes enable charging, but it is very hit or miss.
