This thing is great for car trips. I have the ipod touch 3rd gen and didn't have an issue with the cord length. I also didn't have any problems with fuses in my car and I drive a 2005 Chevy cobalt. I paid ~$100 for a similar device 5 years ago that will no longer charge my ipod touch.

It can take a while to get all the clips to hold in the ipod in place. The adjustable snake support is a great addition over older units that have fixed arms that only bend at joints.

I recently got an Ipod touch 3g and needed a new fm transmitter since the one i've been using for three years no longer charges the new models. I bought this FM transmitter thinking that it was a reasonable price (definately not $70 dollars) and for the fact that it had everything I was looking for. The first day I used it a screw came loose and the whole thing fell apart. Thankfully I found the screw that had popped out and was able to fix it. Afterwards, I noticed that it was very sensitive. If I tried to put it in a different position, it wouldn't respond. I figured that as long as I didn't touch it, it would be fine. Another thing that I annoyed me about this product is that it doesn't turn off. I had another fm transmitter that never turned off and I thought this wouldn't bother me but there is a blue light at the top of the transmitter that, of course, never turns off. The only way that it turns off is by ungplugging the transmitter. I was willing to overlook that aspect since the sound quality in my Saturn SL2 was amazing (no problems with static) but it is now just about two weeks after I have bought the product and it no longer works. Save your money. This product is not worth it.

I was skeptical about purchasing this product but the price wasn't too bad so I tried it. I have had this for about 2 weeks and have had no major problems. One thing I didn't like is that it stopped charging my iphone 3G, but figured out that if I plug in the charger before connecting the output, it worked. Second, sometimes I get some static depending on the weather (fog) and it sounds worse on songs with alot of bass. It was easy to figure out how it works considering the instructions were useless. I'm also pretty hard on the goosneck and it's been durable so far. Overall, I love it

Bought this device in October to use in my Honda Accord since it did not have an audio auxiliary port. I rarely used it, only about 5 times over the course of 2 months partly because I use the Otter Box for my iPhone and it did not fit! During my 13 hour trip, the LCD screen died and I could not see the radio station it was broadcasting. It was a pain because you need to change the frequency if you happen to drive across a town that has a radio station with or within those frequencies, you can tell when you start hearing crackling or distortion. I tapped the screen in an attempt to revive it, however, the cheap plastic cracked!

Overall, I didn't like using it because I live in a big city and there are many many radio stations. I would need to change the frequency 2-3 times when I used it. I will probably spend a bit more money on a more reliable product with better quality instead of wasting $25 on something that lasted only 2 months.

The final straw for this item was when it blew out a fuse. It "works" but has issues. The sound was good when my car was not moving. The faster I drove the louder a high pitched noise got (the reason I got it was to assist in my 2 hour (one way)commute - so almost 4 hrs at 65 mph of that squeal was a lot to take - however, I got some relief when sitting in stop and go traffic!). At lower speeds turning the treble all the way down helped but did not eliminate the problem completly. Item did not seat well in the outlet and after it has lost the connection the radio frequency resets to 88.1 when the connection is regained. Also had difficulty making it fit so that I could see the top of the item to see what frequency it was on. I have a 2005 Jetta and this was not a good fit for my car. Bottom line - it goes back to Amazon today.
