When I got my printer, there was a large sticker on it from HP, when I tried to remove it, it left ugly glue stains behind. I first tried to rub it off by hand, which did not work. Then I tried soapy water, nail polish remover, and finally Goo-off. The Goo-off seemed to work at first, but then, it took of the glossy surface of the plastic, and now I have that ugly, ruined surface. I was upset, because they should test those stickers, before they put them there, or at least give instructions of how to get them off……
The printer itself works fine.

I purchased a 6980 printer about 18 months ago. I tried installing it on both a iBook and an IBM laptop. Neither worked and I had to call HP for support. Even then, it tool well over an hour to get it working. Now, it’s stopped working again, and I cannot get it installed. If I want help from HP, I have to pay because the printer is out of warranty.
The 6988 looks exactly the same, so have to wonder what they’ve done to improve it.

I needed a printer with copy and scan features and this one did not have them. I made a mistake, so returned it.
