I was a bit lost about what was sent to me but it ended up to my advantage it was used for both my laptops.

First of all the adapter took forever to get to me which was not a big deal. When it got here it was sent in a USPS priority mail envelope which was destroyed and I am shocked it actually made it to me. That was not the worst part of it. I prdered an HP adapter and they sent me a DELL. Not even close and it did not fit. Now I was very upset with all of this so I left a mean message which I felt was deseved based on the fact that I could not do any work or school beccause of this mistake. When I got a call back I was told that I was “mean” and they would not meet my demands of overnighting me a new one because I was mean. A word to the shipper – grow a thicker skin!! You f’d up own your mistake and know that the customer is always right. If you are looking for this part. Buy it from Overstock. They have it there for a similar price and I am pretty confident they have a nicer customer service. Be warned

Only works with the docking station… Doesn’t fit in the laptop, makes it less useful!!! I hate that HP charges you for these types of accessories… It’s kind of false advertising as they don’t give what other computer makers do for the same price.. They advertise cheaply, but don’t include the accessories a Dell does. – For example Dell docking stations usually include the power cord.

As soon as I received this, by the way it was A LOT cheaper than in the store. I tested it out and it did not work. I got right on the phone with the company who sent it, detemined that it was just the Dongle, and a new one was recieved 3 days later.

Having broke the original charger that came with my laptop, this seemed like a good replacement. Many people complain that the connection between the dongle and the adapter is loose, and falls out with little force. However, for me this has proved to be a useful feature. Having broken my original charger from tripping on the cable, when I do so now, all that happens is that the adapter simply detaches from the dongle, without any damage.
