My only complaint was that the computer was listed on Amazon as having a TV tuner and blue-ray DVD reader. It did not have these as shipped. It did come with the TV antenna and TV remote, but no built-in TV tuner. I purchased this through Amazon with Robert-Bargain. So, while I would rate the HP machine highly, be careful with differences between ordering from Robert-Bargain and the Amazon description. The computer shipped as described on Robert-Bargain. In my case, I needed the computer for immediate travel, so I did not have the time to return it, before using it extensively.
This HPX16T laptop computer has everything you might want, from the fingerprint reader to the high resolution screen. The HDX16T is perfect for getting work done. If you use spreadsheets or do serious writing, the ability to open side-by-side documents is extremely useful. The computer is fast, and can be used for lengthy calculations in a spreadsheet or computation language of your choice. The disk is fast, boot time is similar to a desktop, the screen is clear, and the keyboard is full size and types well. The particular unit I have has a switchable back-lighted keyboard. I originally wondered if this were really a useful option, but have since had the experience that it is really helpful when working in dim light. The best instance of this was on a long airplane flight when they dim the cabin lights. With other computers, this is a problem, but not with the back-lighted keyboard. Personally, I have no use for the extra 10-key numerical keypad, and would like a bigger main keyboard instead, but others really like this feature for data entry. The mouse pad works well, there are plenty of USB ports, a port for HDMI, firewire, SD card reader, audio out, and more. The lighted touch controls at the top of the keyboard are a pleasure to use, particularly the switch for wirelss on wireless off, cd opcn cd close, and volume adjust. This is a well thought out machine that performs well at an excellent price point.
