Had a HP Officejet before, but a lessor model. This Pro model is fantastic and I have yet to learn to use all that it offers. If you are running any kind of office, you can’t go wrong with this machine.

Thank you all for you reviews. I have been an HP fan for a long time, however the experiences that I just read about it making me re-consider.
The problems with limited English speaking support is a real deal breaker for me. I hope an HP rep reads these comments.

I purchased this printer after doing extensive research and reading through lots of reviews. Got a good deal on it too with the instant $[...] rebate. I am know fully regretting the purchase. If you need to talk to HP support, which you will, you will understand my frustration. HP is absolutely the worst company to deal with.
The scanner looks good after you put the thing together yourself as it comes in pieces. Setup is a little tricky and although I am very technical required our IT team to assist. The printing and scanning functions are very noisy. I have had constant problems with the scanner not scanning particular documents. Most documents will scan fine but occasionally it will get a document it can’t scan and when you try to open the file it says it is damaged no matter how many attempts to scan it. When this happens I am able to scan them just fine first try on a much much older HP unit.
The product description claims you can print 2,450 b/w pages or 1,700 color pages. I haven’t even really gotten to use the printer due to all the problems and have only printed 260 pages mostly b/w. Already I am almost out of ink and this is with the genuine HP cartridges it shipped with.
Overall I think that the printer could have had potential perhaps if it were built by a company other than HP. Don’t get me wrong I have never had a bad experience with HP in the past. But I don’t think I will ever purchase another one of their products after purchasing this printer. Why a much HP model can perform just fine and this one can’t is beyond me. When I try to call customer support I feel as if I am the one offering the support. If all you need is something for around the house and don’t need to rely on the printer/scanner/fax then it might work for you. If however you expect the product to perform as advertised then be warned.

I recently upgraded from an HP 7310 all-in-one printer to the L7680. I have been using it a couple of months and really like it. It is larger and a little louder than the 7310 but so far itseems to be an excellent printer. The main reasons I upgraded to this printer was that it holds more paper and I want the capability to print two sided copies quickly. I have had soome problems with scanning documents. The complete scanned document many times does not appear on the screen. I haven’t had time to investigate this problem but feel sure that it can be resoved when I get a chance to work with it.
