THE REAL REVIEW on December 3, 2009 at 4:31 am
What the??? This is nuts. Price went UP $100 since yesterday. Aren’t prices on technology supposed to drop as time passes not go up? Wouldnt we expect to see at least some price discounts/sales for the holidays? Yet, amzn has now decided to UP the price on this model $100?!
We all know the price will drop again, so why would anybody pay the extra $100? Why would amzn even raise the price knowing that evberybody that buys this will be asking for some $$’s back or simply returning it if that is what they need to do in order to get the lower price.
Nothing against this computer. Just cant figure out what amzn is doing other then making things more difficult to buy from them due to the constantly changing prices of almost eveything they sell.
I will NOT pay $100 more for this unit and I think anybody that does will see it or something with even better specs for far less in the coming weeks. LAPTOPS with excellent specs are on sale all over the place right now.

I may never get to review this computer. I ordered on Nov. 18. It was shipped on Nov. 20. It is now Nov. 27 and delivery not in sight. I have watched with interest the tracking of this shipment. I believe it is shipping by Pony Express!!HP Pavilion DV6-1350US 15.6-Inch Espresso Laptop – Up to 4 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Home Premium)

After Dish Network canceled three repair visits in a row, I dropped the service and have been watching TV on my desktop. I decided I wanted a little mobility, so I bought this laptop, thinking I could hook it up to my TV sets. Unfortunately, I discovered that it will ONLY work on HD TVs. Am I a technology moron? Not completely, but clearly enough of one to have spent money on a computer that won’t do what I wanted it to. As for the computer itself, it’s not really big enough to watch without having it within “typing distance.” This makes watching it in the bedroom difficult, particularly with five animals viaing for prime cuddle space. In addition, the internal speakers are not very good. I’m going to keep the laptop because I will be using it for typical computer activities, including watching it while in the recliner, with a lapboard and wearing headphones. Since I hadn’t planned on upgrading my home entertainment setups right now, I’ll just get a Roku box for the bedroom for watching Netflix and Amazon Video-On-Demand. This won’t help with online shows (The Daily Show, Dancing With the Stars, etc.), but it will be about half of my entertainment internet use.

I ordered this product on November 19 and they said it will take 4 to 7 weeks to get the product but amazon fooled me. I received this product yesterday. i was so excited about this laptop. It is absolutely beautiful1 Way to go Hp you have outdone yourselves. As soon as I received it, I set it up. It was as easily as 1,2,3. I could not put this laptop down. I stayed up til 3am fooling around with this laptop. The multitasking on this thing is so fast. Wow! Windowns 7 is awesome. I love all the new features that they included. The battery is very big but i knew that before i ordered it. The battery last me about 8 hrs. Yes this laptop is a fingerprint magnet but no big deal. Hp included a nice little cloth so you can keep this beauty clean. So if you want a nice looking laptop that is a powerful performer, pick up this Hp Dv6-1350us. You wont regret it!
