This is the worst printer software ever! I have spent hours on the phone with tech support in India and finally an American. Have been trying to install the bloatware software for over 30 hours. Keeps coming up with this error (MSI.dot4wrp01) and they have NO answer for it.
Computer now crashes all the time and system restore does not work. I have to use Safe mode to restore. Dozens of emails with tech support, try this – try that, NO THAT DOES NOT WORK – WE ALREADY TRIED THAT 10 EMAILS AGO – AGHHH. Are they that stupid?
What a flipping %@#*$ headache, thanks hp for the new paper weight!
The only thing this has printed out was the calibration page after I installed the inks.
My OS is Windows XP Pro and SP2. Will not work with SP3 ether.
Save your time and money and DO NOT buy a hp.

After much time spent with HP tech support and even paying a local technician to help this printer still won’t print from most software. Really wish I’d listened to other reviews!! If you want a big waste of time & money then buy this printer.

This printer is the biggest piece of electronic garbage I’ve ever purchased. It gobbles up ink, it is very user UN-friendly, it’s set up operation every time it is turned on takes an incredible amount of time, and I continually get pop-ups trying to sell me more HP stuff. I’ve had this printer for a few months, and I’m GIVING it away….complete with a complete set of new ink cartridges. It has NEVER printed a decent print since I’ve had it. I contacted HP and was completely ignored. Don ‘t even think about getting one of these.

I bought this printer about three months ago and was satisfied with it until I discovered that it continues to use colored ink when set on grayscale (Black and White only) setting. Upon further research online I found this problem to be characteristic of the HP brand in general and certain other brands as well. Very sneaky, wouldn’t you say? So unless you have money to burn on ink, look for another printer. Or buy a separate black and white printer if you can fine one.
