I’m going to keep this short:
This is the 1st time I ‘ve had to buy a replacement DC adpater for myself.
The HP original was poorly designed because it left too much play that caused stress on the internals & its replacement was too expensive for the “re-do”.
The secondary replacement is everything the HP isn’t: fit, finish, price, & fast delivery.

When the AC adaptor that came with my Presaro Compaq v2000 laptop bit the dust, I found this one to replace it. I as very pleased with the price, and the reviews were so high I was sure I was getting a good deal. The cord arrived in good order, and worked fine for awhile. I did notice that sometimes it got VERY hot, but as everything else seemed to be fine I didn’t think much of this. After a couple months the laptop stopped charging. In order to get any charge into the laptop I had to hold the laptop end of the plug at just the right angle (this was the same problem I had with the original cord before it died). then, just three months after I purchased it, the cord stopped working entirely. Despite the amazing price, I was disappointed to not get something of a more durable quality.

I ordered this product with 2 day shipping. I freaked out when my cord broke and I didn’t have a computer to use (because the battery died without the power cord after half an hour or so). I expected the shipping to take at LEAST 2 days and for it to not work as well as my original. I ordered it Wednesday night and it was here Friday morning before I left my house for the day. Its a snug fit in my power cord jack (not like my old power cord) but I like that even better because it doesn’t constantly disconnect. Its sturdy as far as I know, BUT I’ve only had it maybe a month so far, so I’ll report back if it dies/breaks within the next year or so. Cheap price… I just didn’t like the shipping costs for 2 day shipping, but that’s not the manufacturer’s fault. AND you can’t use Amazon Prime on it to get free 2 day shipping.
Again, not their fault. What they DID do was done really well and quickly.

The original wire that came with my computer decided to split on me so I was able to purchase this one and it works well. No problem and delivered quickly.

It was much cheaper then the name brand and it even came with a mouse pad. Love it!!
