It works, but the remote is poor, and the docking connection is so-so. The adapters for connecting various ipods aren’t really suited for the ipod nano. It works, but it doesn’t really support it properly.

We purchased this item for house guests to use. The numerous and various features would, hopefully, keep it from becoming obsolete too soon. It even came with a large number of adapters for different ipod models.
Some people used it for ipods, some played CDs, others listened to the radio. Virtually all of the features were used during the past month. Everyone who used it said that it worked fine and sounded good. It did shut itself off when the digital countdown timer was activated. It also did some unusual things when one of the little kids got hold of the remote control. No other reported problems. Everyone liked the easy-to-carry handle. Maybe we were just fortunate, considering some of the other reports. A nice product for the price.

I purchased the Ilive boombox for my daughter for Christmas despite some of the negative reviews. She is 13 so the sound quality needed to be good but not just fantastic. Unfortunately the most important thing to a 13 year old is having the Ipod work correctly. The radio had lots of static, but then we couldn’t get the Ipod Itouch (1st generation) to connect correctly. Every time we connected it, it made a beeping noise every few seconds while it was playing, and the screen kept blinking back and forth from a battery charging picture back to her screen saver picture. I purchased the Sony Docking Station for my mother for her birthday and she thinks that it is fantastic!! It is a bit more money, but I guess you get what you pay for!! I decided on this one for my daughter so that she could carry this one around the house while doing her chores, or bring it out by the pool in the summer. I should have stuck with the Sony for her as well!! I am in the process of trying to return this item for a full refund. Even if we could get it to work correctly it’s not worth the headache!

I bought this specifically because it had the CD player as well as the ipod dock and it was portable. It works great with the ipod (I use a touch). However, the cd player fails to read almost every CD I put into it. This includes store bought cd’s. If you need a CD player on your unit, look elsewhere. This was definitely not worth the price and doesn’t work well.

Really enjoy this product! It has proven to be exactly what I was looking for and it is so easy and convenient. Also, the product was shipped promtly and arrived in good condition.
