I use this exclusively at the beach, both the radio and ipod functionality work great (I am using an ipod mini 2gb). I had a $15 amazon gift card, so getting this for $10 with free shipping was a no-brainer. Even at $25 I would still be satisfied.
Don’t expect a blaring sound system or to host/DJ parties with this. As a small utility radio it works as expected. After 2 months of usage it still works fine.

My husband bought me this boombox as a gift while we were engaged (I have this model in pink) and it’s extremely easy to use! You use a clearly-marked dial to adjust the dock based on what kind of iPod you have (mine is a Nano) and a sliding switch to select AM, FM, iPod or “Shuffle.” Then you use your iPod to play or pause, etc. The sound quality is excellent for such a small system and the volume wheel on the side is marked with numbers, which is great since I have kids–you don’t have to guess about volume before you start to play your music, and when you’re getting ready to play some tunes while you fold laundry during nap time it’s nice to be able to make sure you won’t wake anyone up
We even used this at our wedding, since it was very small and took place in our home, and everyone was impressed that the music was coming from this little boombox. Two thumbs WAY up!

This product was exactly as advertised! I love it! The sound is amazing and I love the fact that it charges my ipod. Also the fact that there is the option for batteries and a port for different types of MP3 players to be played. The size adjustments for different sized ipods is easy to use.

A good idea but poorly executed. The FM radio only gets a little static on internal battery power, nothing more. Radio worked fine on ac power.

If you’re looking for a system that delivers huge sound, then don’t buy this.
However, it’s exactly what I was looking for! My iPod shuffle 1g fits into it perfectly and it’s a good listen! This item is for a picnic day or a day at the beach or for taking along in the car where radio reception isn’t great. I really like it and am totally happy with it! It has the distinct advantage of charging the ipod while it’s playing. Also, it has a connecting cord that will allow you to play your music for as long as you’d like without worrying about batteries. It takes 6 C batteries, but I haven’t tested how long those batteries might last while that’s the only power source.
I think this is a pretty good product! Oh yes, and it has a radio in it, too!!!
