I’ve been wanting to get this dual core processor for a while now.
Thing is i recently found out there is a newer revision in this model.
The previous version has a M0 stepping and the new one R0.
[...].
Can any of you latest and or future customers’ reviews mention something about this which one you actually receive?
I want to upgrade my cpu mostly for gaming but i have an older bios that recognizes the old M0 stepping and i don’t feel comfortable updating the bios if it’s the new revision as i don’t really know how to except for via Windows. Everyone knows that bios updating is very risky in that if it’s a bad flash it renders one’s PC inoperable.
If i’m not mistaken, the new packaging says “Pentium inside” “45nm” as opposed to Pentium Dual Core inside” “45nm” on the old one. Could be wrong though.
Thanks in advance!

ESTE ES UN GRAN PROCESADOR POR EL PRECIO QUE TIENE, TAL VEZ EL MEJOR EN SU RANGO DE PRECIOS, POSEE EL NUCLEO WOLFDALE DE 45NM, EL CUAL LE PERMITE ALCANZAR UN ALTO GRADO DE OVERCLOCK MUY FACILMENTE,TRABAJA BASTANTE FRESCO, A PESAR DE QUE AQUI HACE BASTANTE CALOR, ES BASTANTE RAPIDO PARA USOS COMO NAVEGAR EN INTERNET, TRABAJAR CON OFFICE Y PARA JUGAR SI LO ACOMPAÑAS DE UNA BUENA TARJETA GRAFICA Y SUFICIENTE MEMORIA Y NO JUEGAS A RESOLUCIONES MUY ALTAS. UNA GRAN COMPRA PARA QUIENES NO QUIERAN O NO NECESITEN GASTAR MUCHO DINERO EN UN PROCESADOR EFICIENTE.

Low power consumption and easy overclock to 1066MHz Front Side Bus with stock cpu voltage.

Great processor for the money – runs most everything thrown at it (game-wise) and overclocked easily. Runs cool enough and stable even with the stock cooler. Paired with a Gigabyte MB, nVidia 9500GT, 4GB ram and Win7 this is a great system and cheap too. Playing everything like L4D, CoD:WaW and more.
